Bio

Mrittika Gain (b.1991) is a Bangladeshi Photographer currently based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Her practices address social issues, climate change, geographical and political. In 2014, she started a new job in a publication house . While working at publication, she learned about photography, which later made her more interested in this medium. In 2021, she completed three-years Professional course in Photography from Pathshala South Asian Media Institute.

During her studies, she received the Sam Bank Scholarship for distinctive performance. She also received DADA scholarship and studied Photojournalism and documentary photography at Hochschule Hannover, University of Applied Sciences and Arts. She was a participant of ‘Stories for Change Phase l’ which is a collaboration project between Pathshala South Asian Media Institute and Oxfam Novib. Now she is studying Fain Arts at the University of Development Alternative (UODA).
